Learn what it means to be green!  Green Building is the future of the building industry.  With its energy, water and resource efficiency and other environmental considerations, green building is here to stay.  The benefits reach far and beyond from lower energy bills for consumers to general conservation to the use of recycled and sustained products to reduced global impact.  

The HBA of CT is one of the first associations in the nation to formally affiliate with the NAHB Green Building Program.  Build Green Connecticut and NAHB National Green Building Program offer numerous tools for incorporating and advancing green building.

Some of the innovative tools and resources that being offered are: scoring system to see how green your project really is, rating system and guidelines for green building, continuing education & courses and green certification. 

Build Green Connecticut finally provides a solution to help you define and quantify "green".  The program was designed to be flexible and support choice so you and your clients can choose a mix of products and techniques that will satisfy everyone's needs.
